web 2.0

WEB 2.0

The phrase “web 2.0” came out in the brainstorming between Tim O'Reilly and Medialive International. The term became remarkable during the Web 2.0 conference in 2004. Web 2.0 defines as the development in the use of World Wide Web technology and web design that aspire to improve creativity, communications, cooperation, protected information sharing and functionality of the web.
Tim O'Reilly considers Web 2.0 as the manner that commerce embraces the strengths of the web and applies it as a platform.
Web 2.0 websites allow the user to own the data in the site and have a control over it and allow sharing and uploading of photos in the site. It also encourages the users to run software applications and participate like posting comments in some articles.

FOR ME..

What I have understands about web 2.0 is that it is the enhancement of the recent internet. For me it also gives advantages to the online users because they become participants, not only retrieving data or information from the web. Online users can also communicate with other online users and they are free to express their ideas. People are updated for the new events and the web 2.0 can provide some of their needs.
Web 2.0 also has disadvantages, becoming an independent in the internet. What if your internet connection delays? You cannot access to your information or data and it may be hack by other persons.
